Social Activity

In 2019 the Club held at its green:
- Club Open Day : To celebrate the clubhouse improvements of 2018 & 2019
- Deaf Bowls Association : Host to an all day competition
- Rothmans Trophy : Host to the Basildon Bowls Association all day competition

The Club holds its annual Awards Dinner and dance at the end of each season when trophies are presented to winners and runners-up of club competitions.

The clubhouse has now been transformed internally. In 2018 the toilets were substantially upgraded to modern standards. In 2019 the clubroom was structurally changed to increase the useable floorspace by 40% and the kitchen by 80% as well as being re-equipped with new appliances and kitchen units.

These changes increase significantly the opportunities for the club to offer more social events such as quiz nights, darts, meals etc., out of season to members, families and friends.

Unfortunately there have been no social events during 2020 due to the pandemic
